According to the National Sleep Foundation www.sleepfoundation.org, “only 20% of children are getting optimal sleep and nearly half are getting insufficient sleep.” The treatment and diagnosis of pediatric sleep disorders is much more difficult than treating adults. It is important that parents, caretakers, and educators are well-informed and know some of the signs and symptoms of a child sleep disorder.
